Lg. Alocasia New Guinea Gold Elephant Ear Plant in 4” pot

New Guinea Gold variety is an unconventional specimen originating from Papua New Guinea, known for its unique pattern of producing variegated leaves during specific periods of the year – commonly observed in the late summer through autumn. However, this annual cycle may occasionally be skipped. This unusual occurrence is not categorized as a typical variegation reversion, as the plant predominantly resumes its variegated leaf production annually. The underlying cause of this irregular behavior remains undetermined (?maybe heat related?). The plant’s distinct beauty sets it apart from the common elephant ear variety. Its versatile nature allows it to thrive as both a container plant and a landscape plant in tropical gardens. These plants are robust and tropical, with a well-established root system.
