Our actual plants undergo an intricate process of propagation, where they are carefully divided from their mother plant and then placed into individual pots. This happens in a humidity chamber, a controlled environment that allows them to adjust without experiencing any wilting. This initial step is crucial as it sets up the plants for a healthy start. After they've rooted and comfortably adjusted to their new pots, they are transferred to a dedicated area in our nursery designed with optimal conditions for them to reach their full potential. Here, they continue to grow and develop until they've established a strong root system and fresh leaves start to emerge. This indicates that they are ready for a new home. Although this meticulous process may take us between 3 to 6 months, we believe that the wait is well worth it. It's a journey of patience and care, but it ensures that you receive a beautiful, large plant that is robust and prime condition.

RARE Monstera Deliciosa cf Sierrana Black Widow Plant, Acquired from a serious aroid collector in Japan in 2023. This Monstera’s leaves mature to a very deep green, almost black and appear much more rigid. The leaf varies in that it appears as a caricature of a M. Deliciosa with wider leaflet spacing and a wider leaflet at the tip like a proboscis monkey or long-nosed monkey. Monstera Black Widow is an absolutely enormous, fast growing, climbing Monstera with beautiful split leaves. This Monstera is the largest variety we have collected from Japan with 10-16 rows of leaflets on each side, highly recommended for indoor or outdoor growing assuming you have the space. When allowed to climb, the maturing foliage can grow 4 to 5.5 feet in length with the iconic split leaf appearance, similar to that of a Monstera Sierrana however this variety matures to sport much darker foliage. We will also be offering a select albo sport of this variety with rigid leaves, brighter whites and deeper greens, currently in cultivation.
