Learn More About Mature Plants   (open/close)
FAQ,  How do you grow such large, beautiful specimens.
Once divided in the mother house, these large tops and mid sections are potted up and placed in a humidity chamber for several weeks to avoid wilt, once established the large plant is then moved to a specially designed area of the nursery to grow and flourish. It's not until plants are rooted and sending out new leaves that they are offered here for sale. This process often takes us 2-4 months, but it is well worth the wait.
Why we recommend more mature plants.
1) In the home you can enjoy the aesthetic value right away without struggling for years to reach the mature form and beauty of these species. From alluring large floor plants to mid-sized coffee table plants, we have it all for every room in your home.
2) Boutiques and Plant Shops always perform better with the visual pop and wow factor you get with large unusual plants your customers may have never seen before. Be sure to keep them out of reach.
3) Resellers and Home Propagators It's Simple math, Bigger plants produce bigger propagates and recover from propagation cuts and bud out much faster than propagating from smaller specimens.

Corsinianum Giant appears to be a self heading philodendron but in reality it is a monstrous climber with huge brownish green draping leaves and a pinkish-maroon underside. Kept in containers this plant grows very well in a shaded location. Given a totem to climb only enhances the rate of growth and leaf size. Very large and unique. Though Corsinianum Giant is actually a climbing variety it can maintain its bushy form by simply trimming it back once or twice per year. These are very healthy tropical plants with well established root systems. This Phil does not like a change of environment nor does it like to be shipped. If you loose a leaf of or two, new growth should start in a week or two, we been growing this unusual aroid for 20+ years and have never lost one.
